She has also sought to provide a mediating voice between these cultures, which too often misunderstand each other.

In this compelling and evocative memoir, we accompany Mekhennet as she journeys behind the lines of jihad, starting in the German neighborhoods where the 9/11 plotters were radicalized and the Iraqi neighborhoods where Sunnis and Shia turned against one another, and culminating on the Turkish/Syrian border region where ISIS is a daily presence. My Review

I agree with other readers that this book lacked feeling and the writing was choppy. Not to take anything away from Mr. Malmquist's story as it is a sad …

My Review

This is my first introduction to author, Sue Fortin. I have to say that it was a pretty good impression. While, I didn't really know much about the four women, I was able to connect with them as well as the story.

The fact that I did not know any details about the fours women in the beginning was the whole point. This way it was a mystery that was revealed as the story progressed. The game that the women played made me want to play it but I thin…

Say You'll Remember Me

Doesn’t matter who did it. Not anymore. I did the time. It’s over.”When Drix was convicted of a crime—one he didn’t commit—he thought his life was over. But opportunity came with the Second Chance Program, the governor’s newest pet project to get delinquents off the streets, rehabilitated and back into society. Drix knows this is his chance to get his life back on track, even if it means being paraded in front of reporters for a while.

Elle knows she lives a life of privilege. As the governor’s daughter, she can open doors with her name alone. But the expectations and pressure to be someone she isn’t may be too much to handle. She wants to follow her own path, whatever that means.

When Drix and Elle meet, their connection is immediate, but so are their problems. Drix is not the type of boy Elle’s parents have in mind for her, and Elle is not the kind of girl who can understand Drix’s messy life.

But sometimes love can breach all barriers.

Fighting against a society that can’t imagine …
